"The Journeyman" Cottage

New sleek design with brand new floors, furniture, and fixtures throughout the unit.  This is a beautiful, unique one-bedroom cottage with a completely remodeled full private bathroom.  Includes AC/Heat, Double Bed in the separate Bedroom, Single Bed sized Futon in the Living Room, and an optional rollaway cot.  DirecTV in the Living room and Bedroom.  Kitchen comes fully equipped and remodeled for; it includes a microwave, coffee maker, oven/stove, full refrigerator, silverware, dishes, pots and pans.  Linens are provided for the double bed in the bedroom only, but there are two extra blankets and total of 6 pillows provided in this unit.  Sleeps up to 6 Adults.  Housekeeping services are not included.

 

What is a journeyman?  In centuries past, skilled craftsmen didn't just sell the family business. The blacksmith put their trade in capable hands—hands of apprentices they trained themselves. The journeyman is just that: a worker who has finished his apprenticeship and is on a journey toward mastery of the trade. The journeyman sharpens and hones skills that will later allow him or her to take on greater responsibility and one day maybe become a blacksmith.

What is a blacksmith?  A blacksmith is a person who creates objects from iron or steel by "forging" the metal; i.e., by using hand tools to hammer, bend, cut and otherwise shape it in its non-liquid form. Usually the metal is heated until it glows red or orange as part of the forging process. Blacksmiths create such products as wrought iron gates, grills, railings, light fixtures, furniture, sculpture, tools, decorative and religious items, cooking utensils and weapons. A skilled blacksmith can make a good looking product that shows skill and ingenuity with the minimum amount of work and energy.

Cottage Policies

    -No discounts are accepted, except for the Anvil Club

    -A deposit of $250.00 is required for all reservations.

    -A credit card is required at the time of check in.

    -Check in is at 3:00pm / Check out is at 10:00 am.

    -No pets!
